Matilda Reznov Harris was born just before the collapse of the Soviet Union. Her parents being former KGB we able to immigrate to America and make a quiet life in a North Carolina suburb. Growing up as an only child she was often spoiled by her loving parents often being lulled to sleep by either of her mother or father singing nursery rhymes or lullabies.
When she approached the age to start attending school her teachers often noted while she excelled at her studies she was often isolated by the other children during recess, when the children were asked why they would say "she's creepy." This lack of any real friendship led Matilda down a path of acting out trying to get even a modicum of attention often of the disciplinary nature. She would often wake up at night to hear her parents down in the kitchen arguing on what to do with the signature sound of vodka being poured into ice close behind. The older Matilda got the longer she was able to stay awake listening to the mounting pressure her parents felt by news of US officials paying for information on embedded agents.
The stress of a fragile existence and a disobedient child finally made her parents snap, one night being caught listening in they pulled her into the car and drove to the local nature park telling her "If she was going to act like a wild animal they were going to treat her like one." In the cool night air lit by the waxing moon Matilda tried to find shelter under a derelict metal slide. After taking a moment with her eyes closed they went wide as the moonlight caught the outline of a spider descending inches from her face. Matilda however lacked any true impulse of fear or revulsion ,extending her finger out the spider took to it and began to explore up her arm. Each night she spent out in the park she grew more and more fascinated with the creatures, she let them crawl where they pleased as she sang them the same songs her mother used to.
When Matilda matured into her teens even her clothing began to take on the look of her favorite creature. going to school everyday in black and red and doing her best to avoid direct sunlight garnered her the ridicule of her classmates isolating her further. It was in high school that Matilda had felt her first emotion, love. A young man by the name of Shawn shared a lot of the same classes with Matilda and often would do his homework just for the attention. Shawn was part of a lot of the athletic groups in high school and was very popular among the teachers and students. His father owned a large construction company that specialized in renovation so his influence was cemented in the local area. One day as prom approached and after many days building up the nerve Matilda asked Shawn if he would take her, much to her dismay and lacking an understanding of high school social circles the word quickly got around of his refusal and the teasing of Matilda continued till the end of the day. When she was walking home she decided to take a detour and visit her eight legged friends in the park. As she turned the corner Matilda felt her second and third emotions at the same time - Hopelessness and anger, a sign had been posted on the fence announcing a new "safer" park was going to be built and the sound of a bulldozer crushing her beloved shelter and home to all her friends.
Matilda spent the next few days feigning illness to her parents allowing her to stay home during school, only to creep out and follow the the movements of Shawn and his father. As summer vacation hit and after weeks of taking photos and following the two around town Matilda was ready to make her move. She made her way down stairs to the kitchen and grabbed the longest blade in the knife block, tucking it into her waist band just as the lights turned on a the sound of her notebook hitting the table. Turning around she saw her mother with arms crossed demanding an explanation to all the photos of Shawn and his dad. When the simple excuses failed to work on her mother she watched as she picked up the phone and said "I'm sorry Matilda but we should of done this along time ago, you need help and clearly we cannot give it to you."
Hearing the three key tones Matilda's world seemed to slow down. Over the course of the last month what little she had in the world was erased. For the first time in her life she felt her heart beat quicker as her fingers wrapped around the handle of the knife. and with one quick motion drove it into her mother's back and tore the phone cable out of its socket. She stood there over her mother for a moment taking in what she had just done, she knew what she had done was not right, but.....as she searched her soul for remorse ..she found none. To the sound of her mother's cries Matilda left the house to do what she had planned all along. By dawn the next day Matilda had slipped from town the reports of the three murders began filling the news stands, but luckily she was good at going unnoticed.
Years slipped by and Matilda began roaming the country making her way into ill minded groups as the brains of a heist, even selling guns to two rival gangs at the same time. This was childs play for Matilda, a way to make ends meet, the only thing the every got her heart pumping was the whimpers and pleas of those that got in her way. As she grew more and more skilled, the bodies might as well have never existed. It was one night after cleaning up a fresh victim she saw an advertisement by Los Santos Tourism. A grin spread across her face as the knife slowly ran along the skin of her still breathing victim. "Oh, what fun I will have...in Los Santos."
